Do I need an account?
No. Pick a name and a color to enter the prototype. Account creation is coming soon; you can already explore Meetlander without an account.
Who can hear me or see my camera?
In the world, camera and microphone are required to enter, then shared with the nearby person in the same place. In a private room, meeting participants receive the media you enable. You can switch off your camera or microphone at any time.
What can we talk about here?
A film, current affairs, a shared interest or a work project. Catch up with a friend, meet someone new or debate with someone who sees things differently. You decide where the conversation goes.
Which devices can we use?
Open Meetlander in a recent browser on a computer, tablet or phone. The world requires a 3D-capable browser. Allow camera and microphone access and use a stable Internet connection. Screen-sharing options depend on your device and browser. The world interface is currently in French.
How many people can join?
The preview supports 30 people in the virtual world at a time. Private rooms bring up to six participants together by link, with video, chat and screen sharing.
Can I share my screen and change my background?
Private rooms let you present a screen, window or tab, depending on your browser. You can also blur your background or choose an image. Camera and background preferences are shared between rooms and the world in the same browser.
